8 Habits for the Best Result on the 3 Day Detox

1. Drink Warm Lemon Water Upon Rising

You’ve spent 7 to 8 hours not consuming any liquids, your body is dehydrated. Drinking warm lemon water upon rising is a great way to rehydrate. Did you know you can lose water through skin perspiration and even through your breathing? Oh and the vitamin C from the lemons boosts your immune system.

2. Drink 1 Cup of Turmeric Detox Drink before Meals

I love this drink. All of the ingredients in this drink are like rock stars that can help boost the overall detoxification of your body. Research shows that ingredients like Apple Cider Vinegar, Lemons, and Turmeric helps stimulate cardiovascular circulation and helps detoxify your liver.

3. Follow The Detox Meal Plan

All of the recipes in your 3 Day Detox ebook are specifically designed to cleanse your body, remove toxins and flood your system with vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants galore!

4. Avoid the Not Allowed Foods

Our bodies are naturally made to cleanse themselves. Our liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph, skin, and colon detox our body by eliminating and neutralizing toxins. But…we don’t eat the way generations before us ate. Today we over-consume foods that are fried, full of sugar, white flour, gluten, chemicals, GMO’s, large amounts of animal protein, saturated fats, alcohol and heavy amounts of caffeine. These foods are very taxing on our detox pathways and inhibit our bodies from performing the detoxification processes properly. Ditching the Not Allowed Foods and adding in these detox superstar recipes for a few days will help out your body tremendously.

5. Drink 8 Cups of Water Daily

Sip, Sip, Sip that water girl! Drinking adequate water during a detox helps your body flush out all of those toxins. It also promotes what’s known as a thermogenic state, which increases your metabolic rate and can help you lose more weight.

6. Close the Kitchen After Dinner.

Make it a goal to have your last meal no later than 7:00 PM during these 3 days.  Restaurants have a last-call and so should you.  Your last call should be dinner time. When you officially close your kitchen after dinner, as in you don’t enter the kitchen for anything other than water or herbal tea you are making a conscious effort not to overeat.  Many of us snack at night without realizing how much we are actually consuming.

This is a difficult habit to break, esp…if you like to Netflix and chill after work or doing some online surfing / online shopping / checking emails, etc. But, you can do it! Just follow my rule and close the kitchen after 7:00 pm. Also, readjust your food intake cycle by shifting more of your daily calories to the first part of your day.

7. Avoid Alcoholic Beverages

Alcoholic beverages are mostly empty calories. Drinking alcohol during a detox is just plain counterproductive since our goal is to remove toxins from our body.

8. Optional: Add Supportive Nutritional Supplements

Although this is not mandatory at all, I’ve listed some of my favorite supplements that I love and personally use for added support while I’m doing a detox.  The PGX fiber, for example, helps controls the release of sugars into the bloodstream, slowing digestion and creating a feeling of satiation.
